"High beam qualified, low beam qualified, high beam adjusted to low beam qualified..."

This is the assembly workshop of Shenzhen idun Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., where LED headlights using "detachable technology" are being dimmed by automated equipment.
"These LED headlights all use 'detachable technology', filling the domestic technology gap." Zhong Qing, deputy general manager of idun, introduced that at present, about 40% of the headlights produced by the company use "detachable technology", which greatly reduces the maintenance cost of consumers and has good market feedback.
LED headlights have high brightness and low power consumption, which are very popular in the market. However, since the light source of LED lamps is composed of many small LED lamp beads, once a fault occurs, it is impossible to replace a single small lamp, and only the entire headlight assembly can be replaced, which has a high maintenance cost. In response to this pain point, idun has been working on technical breakthroughs for more than two years and has innovatively launched the "detachable technology" for LED headlights.
In the R&D center of idun, Liu Zheng, manager of the project development department, is filling in the blank headlight frame diagram with simulation model components on the computer screen. "Every improvement in headlight technology will go through multiple links such as structural design, optical design, and electronic design, and the coordination with automobile sheet metal parts must also be considered." Liu Zheng said.
Liu Zheng introduced that their research found that the main reason why LED headlights cannot be disassembled is that there is not enough maintenance conditions at the rear of the headlights. For this reason, they have continuously tested and improved and developed the "removable technology" of LED headlights. This technology designs T-shaped slides and I-shaped slides for LED light sources. Once damaged, only the problematic light source needs to be replaced.
The biggest benefit of the "removable technology" of LED headlights to consumers is to reduce maintenance costs. The use of this technology can save 3/5 of the cost.
The "removable technology" of LED headlights opens up a broad market for IDUN. In 2024, the company produced 300,000 sets of lamps and achieved sales revenue of 260 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 61.67%.
"We have established a complete project research and development system, continuously increased research and development investment, and have developed more than 40 products in three series. Among them, more than 20 products such as laser headlights and LED headlights have obtained national patents." Li Pengfei said that at present, IDUN is at the forefront of the domestic industry in the research and development and production of LED headlights.
